This year the organisers received 186 entries from 102 firms, from which the jury selected the top ten from a shortlist of 24 solutions and services.
The top ten products and services belong to ten companies with total revenue of US$3.47 billion and a total of over 72,500 employees.
Such products alone are generating revenues of nearly US$40 million.
According to VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh, Vietnam’s IT sector has seen a strong transformation with 80% of Sao Khue products and services using new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things and blockchain.
He added that the quality of products and solutions at this year’s awards has also improved significantly compared with previous years, with many of the entries among the top new technology applications in the region and the world.
Binh stated that products and services honoured with the Sao Khue Awards will drive the digital transformation and innovation in Vietnam, especially as the world is transitioning to a “new normal” in the face of the coronavirus outbreak.
After the awards ceremony, VINASA will directly introduce these products and services to more government agencies and major corporations throughout the country so as to connect developers with their potential customers.
Those honoured with the Sao Khue title will be selected and nominated for an award from the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance in 2020.
