The final round of the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR) for the 2025-2026 academic year took place on May 10 at the National Innovation Centre in Ha Noi.

Speaking at the event, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and head of the organising board, said that since its launch in November 2025, the competition had received a strong response from localities, schools, teachers, parents and students nationwide, with more than 5,000 contestants registering for the preliminary round. Of these, 2,930 outstanding contestants advanced to the final round.

Notably, the competition attracted participation from students across many regions, including remote, mountainous and disadvantaged areas, as well as boarding schools for ethnic minority students.

With the theme “Energy for the Future”, this year’s competition was not only about green energy, sustainable technology or creative models of a new era. More profoundly, it was also a journey to awaken the most powerful source of energy of a nation: the energy of knowledge, the aspiration to conquer science, the spirit of innovation, and the belief in a young Vietnamese generation that is capable, confident and ready to enter the future through its own intellect.

The National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship aims to build a nationwide academic, creative and technological playground for students at all levels. The event contributes to the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development.

The competition was organised by Tien Phong Newspaper, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation, the National Innovation Centre and Ha Noi University of Science and Technology, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
