Taking place in Quang Tri — a land that was once a “bomb bag” during the years of resistance against the USimperialists — the programme recalls and recreates the tragic event of September 1972 when 16 youth volunteers of the former Thai Binh Province heroically sacrificed their lives at the Long Dai II ferry to keep the traffic flowingsmoothly.

Their blood mixed with the river, affirming the truth that “the heart can stop beating, but the traffic cannot stop flowing”, thuscontributing to creating the immortal legend of the Truong Son Road – Ho Chi Minh Road.
Long Dai II Ferry Terminal — the fierce fire coordinates of the Truong Son route in the past — has now become a national historical relic site that has been restored and embellished, becoming a “red address” to record the glorious past and pay tribute to the heroic sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers to gain independence and reunification of the Fatherland.
What makes the program so touching and impressive is the delicate combination of music and stage, creating an epic artistic space. In particular, the production team has made the most of the spaces at the Long Dai Ferry Terminal Relic Site. The historic river becomes a part of the stage. The ferry bridge, a witness to a fierce war, was lit up, becoming a symbol connecting the past and the present. The combination of real-life and artistic elements brought the audience a unique experience, helping viewers feel the story of the river and the historical feats more deeply.
