Special art programme marks anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation

A special art programme was held at the Hanoi Opera House on June 5 to mark the 76th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948-2024).

The event was attended by Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; along with members of the PCC: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung.

Speaking at the programme, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation is a historical document containing valuable instructions and profound theoretical and practical values for the patriotic emulation movement of the entire nation.

The art programme was of profound political significance, contributing to fostering patriotism and solidarity among Vietnamese people of all generations, especially younger generations, as well as arousing aspirations and dedication to the national construction, defence, renewal and international integration, added the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

With three parts, the art programme featured a profound art space highlighting the patriotism and praising the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho.

The programme drew the participation of various famous artists including People’s Artist Quoc Hung; Meritorious Artists Tan Nhan, Hoang Tung, Lan Anh, and Ploong Thiet; and singers Trong Tan, Anh Tho, Ha My, and Thu Thuy.

Not only does it help viewers to look back at the historical milestone 76 years ago, the programme also shows theprofound gratitude of today's generations.
