Held at My Dinh National Stadium in Ha Noi on the evening of April 28, the event marked the opening of the 2026 political–arts series “Proud to be Vietnamese”. Nearly 40,000 spectators attended in person, with millions more watching via television and digital platforms.

The programme was organised under the direction of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilisation, with Viet Nam Television, the Ha Noi People’s Committee and Netmedia Company as co-producers.

“Echoes of the Fatherland” is also the title of an original composition by musician Ta Duy Tuan written specifically for the event.

Blending contemporary artistic language with historical narratives and cultural identity, the programme highlighted national unity, pride and collective responsibility in preserving heritage while striving for sustainable development.

The 90-minute first part, broadcast live on VTV1, featured three themed chapters tracing Viet Nam’s cultural roots, historical resilience and future aspirations. The second part delivered vibrant, high-energy performances aimed at inspiring younger generations.

A standout moment, “Peaceful Fatherland”, combined a military parade with artistic choreography. Fireworks punctuated the evening, and even heavy rain failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd.

Featuring a star-studded line-up and meticulously staged performances, the programme delivered a resounding celebration of national pride and cultural vitality.
