The annual football tournaments have been organised to strengthen connections and exchanges within the Vietnamese community, while also creating a healthy sporting environment for the community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sadovod Market Vietnamese Football League 2025 held on the afternoon of May 15, Tran Phu Thuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Organisations in Russia, affirmed that the football league has become a sporting event eagerly awaited by the Vietnamese community in Russia.
As someone who consistently pays attention to and supports Vietnamese football leagues, Alexey Negashev, CEO of the Sadovod Trade Complex, assessed that the tournament is attracting an increasing number of participating teams, not only within the Sadovod Trade Complex but also within the broader Vietnamese community in Russia, demonstrating the league’s appeal.
He expressed his hope that the tournament will continue to grow and succeed, becoming one of the most attractive football leagues for spectators within the Vietnamese community in Russia.
This year’s Vietnamese Veterans Football League in Russia brought together eight teams, with approximately 200 participating players.
The ongoing football tournaments of the Vietnamese community in Russia are attracting a large number of enthusiastic spectators, becoming a bridge of solidarity between football players from different teams, between players and fans, and especially a bridge of solidarity within the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.
