The 30-second promotional video highlights the unique global value of Cat Ba Archipelago (Hai Phong City) and Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh Province), jointly recognised as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

The video is broadcast three times daily on CNN Asia (covering Northeast Asia, Asia-Pacific, and South Asia) across multiple programmes, such as The Lead and First Move, from November 5 to December 2, 2024.

This initiative is part of Hai Phong City’s efforts under a communication plan aimed at promoting the heritage site through 2024 and 2025.

Tran Thi Hoang Mai stated that through international communication efforts, Hai Phong aims to introduce vivid and authentic imagery of the Ha Long Bay-Cat Ba Archipelago to global audiences. The Cat Ba Archipelago, featuring nearly 400 islands, lush forests, pristine beaches, endemic wildlife, and spectacular coastal and forest trails, offers a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors.

The campaign also highlights Hai Phong City’s commitment to preserving the integrity of the heritage site under UNESCO conventions while leveraging its value for sustainable tourism and socio-economic development. This effort aims to attract international investment and foster comprehensive partnerships with local and foreign communities.
