The contest is part of the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation, Startup and Entrepreneurship Week 2023 (WHISE 2023).

The 7th STEM Robot Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students in Ho Chi Minh City. Each school is allowed to register up to two teams (optional), with up to three students per team. The deadline to register for the contest is 16:30 on September 29.

In 2023, the STEM Robot Challenge will consist of three groups: Group A1 (for students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades) competes in decorating and controlling robot racing cars. Group A2 (for 4th and 5th graders) and Group B (for secondary school students) competed in building, decorating, programming and controlling robotic racing cars.

The STEM Robot Challenge takes place periodically in the third quarter of each year, to create a playground for science, technology and creative skills, for students of all ages in Ho Chi Minh City.

The contest also aims to encourage the spirit of learning and discovery, so that students can gradually master science and technology; helping them have the opportunity to develop creative thinking, use algorithms and technological knowledge to solve problems, improve their ability to handle situations and find optimal solutions.

At the same time, the contest promotes the movement of learning, applying science and technology to practice, and developing young science and technology human resources.

It is expected that the Organizing Committee of the contest will award one first-place prize, two second-place prizes, three third-place prizes, four fourth-place prizes, and ten sub-prizes.
