The document stated that cases of violence and abuse towards children, especially young children, tend to be complicated and serious over recent times, causing frustration in public opinion.

To minimise harm and ensure children’s rights and interests, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs asked the People's Committees of provinces and cities to focus on directing and implementing drastically and effectively the tasks and solutions for the prevention and control of child violence and child abuse.

Functional agencies should promote the communication and education of morality, lifestyle and family behaviour while instructing educational institutions, families, and children, on knowledge and skills to protect children, in addition to the responsibility to report and denounce acts of child violence and abuse.

The reception of information and handling of cases regarding child violence and abuse must be conducted promptly and effectively, according to the dispatch.

If people detect or witness any acts of child violence, abuse or child labour, please immediately call the National Child Protection Hotline 111.
