The event brought together a wide range of international distribution systems, local producers and exporters, as well as Viet Nam’s overseas trade offices. Its aim was to expand markets, promote sustainable exports, and strengthen supply chain linkages for businesses in Tay Ninh and neighbouring regions.
In her opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang praised the unexpectedly high participation of the business community, with a notable 142 enterprises from 25 countries and territories, alongside leading retail and e-commerce groups such as Central Retail, Aeon, Walmart, Lulu, Amazon, Coppel, and Alibaba.
She stressed that the conference’s success reflected sustained trade and investment promotion efforts by both the ministry and the province, Tay Ninh’s advantages in planning and infrastructure, and the active engagement of relevant agencies and 27 trade offices that directly led business delegations to the event.
From a policy perspective, the deputy minister outlined key orientations for Tay Ninh to make breakthroughs in exports. These included enhancing enterprise capacity and professionalism; diversifying markets and capitalising on FTAs; investing in critical logistics infrastructure; accelerating digital transformation and cross-border e-commerce; and strengthening public–private and international partnerships.
With the concerted efforts of local authorities, the support of the business community, and assistance from the government, particularly the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Thang expressed her confidence that Tay Ninh would continue to grow strongly, becoming a leading exporter in the Mekong Delta region as well as a strategic international trade gateway for the Southeast region and the country as a whole.
The ministry pledged to continue accompanying Tay Ninh, working closely with provincial authorities to support businesses, address bottlenecks, boost production and consumption, expand markets, and foster sustainable and effective participation in global supply chains.

Within the framework of the programme, experts engaged in dialogue on market prospects and e-commerce, as well as on the supply chain connectivity needs of local enterprises and international distributors (Aeon, Central Retail, LuLu, Walmart, Amazon, and others). This was followed by a Q&A session and the signing of several memoranda of understanding between Tay Ninh Province and international partners.
The organisers also arranged direct B2B matchmaking sessions between local enterprises and international distributors and buyers, along with field surveys.
The programme is expected to create strong momentum for substantive cooperation between Tay Ninh businesses and the global distribution network, helping to expand markets and upgrade production and processing standards in a green and sustainable direction. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to work closely with the province and Viet Nam’s overseas trade offices to help enterprises seize opportunities, enhance resilience to fluctuations, and increase their presence in international value chains.
