President Ho lived in the house from 1895 to 1901 when his family moved to Hue. This place holds many childhood memories of President Ho Chi Minh. The house was recognised as a national historic site by the Ministry of Culture and Sports on February 2, 1993.
The Vice President instructed the staff of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue province to preserve and promote the site, turning it into a place for educating patriotic traditions for generations today and in the future.
On behalf of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, the Vice President handed over 200 million VND (over 8,500 USD) to the Fund for Vietnamese Children of Thua Thien-Hue province.
On the same day, she also offered incense at the memorial house dedicated to late General Le Duc Anh in Loc An commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, the hometown of the General.
