Viet Nam exports 5,000 drones to Republic of Korea for the first time

Viet Nam’s CT Group and an emerging drone technology company in the Republic of Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding to export of 5,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Leaders of CT Group and their partners exchange cooperation agreements.

The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the Viet Nam-Korea Business Forum held on August 12 in Seoul, in the presence of General Secretary To Lam and Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok.

This marks a milestone in Viet Nam’s technological history. Mastering all the core technologies of the UAV industry also affirms CT Group’s strategic role in Viet Nam’s future technological landscape.

Today, UAVs have become one of the most important technologies with wide-ranging applications across all industries, from urban and consumer sectors to specific military and security fields, and the defence capabilities of entire nations or vast regions.

Globally, UAVs are being rapidly deployed across numerous sectors including passenger and cargo transport, distribution, agriculture and forestry, healthcare, monitoring and rescue operations, fire prevention and firefighting, technology tourism, surveillance and security, carbon credits, and more.

Mastering all core technologies and securing export orders for UAVs to a premium and highly demanding market like the Republic of Korea serves as clear evidence of Viet Nam’s emergence in the new era, while simultaneously opening wide doors for CT Group to export to other countries.

The heavy-duty transport UAV models ranging from 60kg to 300kg, manufactured by CT UAV (a CT Group member) with up to 85% local content and Viet Nam’s proprietary technology, are highly regarded by many countries including the Republic of Korea.

Technological autonomy in designing semiconductor chips for UAVs creates a particular competitive advantage for CT UAV. This momentous event demonstrates that Viet Nam is ready to participate in the technology game at a higher level. This not only promotes national economic growth but also enhances Viet Nam’s position and standing on the international stage.

Furthermore, mastering UAV technology is ushering in a new era for Viet Nam - the era of spatial automation, where flying robots create new levels of social productivity thousands of times higher than previous productivity levels.

Today, any nation that possesses more specialised UAVs will triumph not only on the economic and social fronts but across all other fronts as well.

In particular, CT Group develops UAV lines integrated with artificial intelligence, capable of learning and making autonomous decisions. This potential is elevated to new heights when forming spatial environments to develop artificial intelligence.

CT Group combines semiconductor technology with network location identification systems and specialised UAV technology for digital transformation of ground surfaces, cities, rivers and seas, plains, and forests and mountains.

CT Group creates a robust technical platform supporting comprehensive digital transformation for Viet Nam. The coordinated ecosystem among tightly integrated core technologies, mutually supporting each other, makes CT Group one of the few groups capable of creating synergistic, high-speed development.

At this very historic event, CT Group also secured an ATP order to export 100 million chips to its Korean partner. This is an extremely complex field, dominated by a handful of developed nations and represents the pinnacle of global technology.

An emerging Asian nation like Viet Nam stepping directly into the semiconductor sector affirms a Viet Nam that dares to think and act, advancing to conquer challenging technology sectors such as semiconductors.
