The event has drawn more than 300 enterprises from Viet Nam, China, ASEAN countries, Vietnamese trade associations, and domestic and international organisations engaged in trade, tourism, and investment promotion.

Over 350 booths are featured at the fair. Chinese businesses contribute 62 standard booths and two achievement exhibition zones, while Viet Nam showcases more than 250 booths operated by 162 enterprises from 31 provinces and cities nationwide, alongside three local promotion zones.

The programme also includes exhibitions of socio-economic achievements and OCOP products, business networking sessions, the 2025 Investment and Industry Cooperation Forum, cultural exchanges such as a youth singing event between Mong Cai and Dongxing, a friendship run, and a range of trade promotion activities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, stressed that the fair is not merely an annual border-region trade promotion event but a comprehensive cooperation forum encompassing economy, trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people cultural exchanges. Its influence extends across numerous provinces and cities in both Viet Nam and China, particularly the south-western provinces of China.

He underscored the fair’s role as a vital bridge linking businesses with authorities in Quang Ninh Province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, thereby helping to realise the common understandings reached by the leaders of the two Parties, two States, as well as of Quang Ninh and Guangxi.

Vu Ba Phu, Director General of the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, noted that the fair is alternately organised by Quang Ninh and Guangxi each year with the aim of strengthening economic, trade, investment, and tourism cooperation between the two sides.

He emphasised that the event plays a crucial role in connecting enterprises, facilitating the exchange of goods and services, promoting culture and tourism, consolidating friendly relations, and advancing cooperative development between the two countries.

It also boosts cross-border trade through the Mong Cai–Dongxing international gateway and helps tap into the Guangxi market as well as other regions of China.
