Staged from April 15 to 17, the international contest brought together 12 teams from three countries Viet Nam, Russia, and Belarus.
Representing Viet Nam, the delegation from the Centre for Training and Use of Working Animals under the Mobile Police Command of the Ministry of Public Security comprised two training officers and two police dogs.
The competition encompassed seven disciplines, ranging from general training, urban and forest tracking, to object detection and obstacle courses. Success demanded not only precision but also strong rapport between handler and working dog.
“We welcome the Vietnamese team’s official participation at the event for the first time. Your achievements demonstrate significant progress and professional dedication,” said Alexander Shepelev, Head of the Department for Safety and Security under Belarus’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He emphasised that the competition serves as a platform for participating forces to exchange expertise and strengthen specialist capabilities in working dog training.
Colonel Do Tien Thuy, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police, noted that the team’s official attendance at this international event marks a milestone in the force’s integration and development.
He added that the competition not only validates the quality of Viet Nam’s working dog training but also provides officers and soldiers with opportunities to access advanced methods, enhance skills, determination, and coordination in an international environment.
