The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam, representatives of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Savannakhet, officials from the Savannakhet provincial authorities, and a large audience of Vietnamese and Laotian spectators.
The programme formed part of Viet Nam Cultural Week in Laos, which is taking place from May 12 to 16.
The audience enjoyed artistic performances, 12 puppetry acts, and demonstrations of distinctive Vietnamese musical instruments such as the bamboo flute, the T’rung (a traditional bamboo xylophone), and the K’ny (tube fiddle).
Through their performances, the Vietnamese artists not only showcased Vietnamese culture, land and people to their Laotian friends and international guests in Laos, but also reaffirmed the profound friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic partnership between the two countries.
