Accordingly, the VNR will mobilise additional 5-6 pairs of trains on the Thong Nhat (North - South) route and 6-7 other pairs on busy passenger routes such as Hanoi - Vinh, Hanoi – Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang, among others.

The VNR will also offer many promotional policies for passengers with 10 to 30 percent cuts on ticket fares.

Notably, passengers on odd-numbered trains will enjoy a 10 percent reduction on ticket price for their travelling period from February 9 to 12; a 20 percent reduction for travelling from February 14 to 20; and a 30 percent from February 21-28.

Further promotions are applied for social policy beneficiaries including Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers, elders and students.

The VNR has strictly followed pandemic prevention and control regulations and adopted preventive measures such as disinfecting spray at stations and coaches before departure. All railway staff have been fully vaccinated and are routinely tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
