Vietnamese pupils, who come from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, bagged eight gold, ten silver and five bronze medals, according to results announced on October 3.
Vietnam’s gold medallists in the science contest are Nguyen Nhat Minh, Phan Vu Nguyen Khai, Dinh Pham Nguyen Hang and Nghiem Xuan Son, while the gold medals in the maths contest belong to Nguyen Dinh Kien, Tran Bao Duy, Ngo Chi Kien and Trinh Anh Minh.
This year’s contest was held in Hangzhou, China from September 28 to October 4 and drew the participation of 400 pupils with 25 teams from 22 countries and territories.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Vietnam will be the host of IMSO 2019.
