Vietnamese Consul General Le Duc Hanh said in 2024, Vietnam welcomed over 17 million international visitors.
Currently, 14 direct flights between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) are operated daily by five airlines, with two more to be launched soon.
He said that Vietnam’s booth at the expo aims to connect the tourism industries of Vietnam and Hong Kong (China), as many international airlines and tourism companies promote various destinations in Vietnam.
He added that tourism and leisure activities serve as a means of people-to-people exchange, especially when Vietnam and China celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and the “Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchange” in 2025.
