Khanh won the title after defeating Malaysian contestant Tee Ai Xin 4-0 in the final match yesterday.

This is the first time that Khanh has earned the title, making 2024 her most successful year as she also won golds at the National Table Tennis Championship and National Table Tennis Team Championships.

In other categories in Bangkok, the Vietnamese delegation brought home three silver medals, which were won by Nguyen Anh Tu in the men's singles, Mai Hoang My Trang and Nguyen Thi Nga in the women's doubles, and Nguyen Duc Tuan and Doan Ba Tuan Anh in the men's doubles.

Vietnamese athletes Nguyen Duc Tuan and Dinh Anh Hoang also claimed two bronzes in the tournament.
