During the working visit, An Thu An performed a series of folk-inspired pieces showcasing the distinctive sounds of Vietnamese traditional music, helping boost the morale of Lao soldiers preparing for the military parade. Her rendition of Co Doi Thuong ngan was particularly well received, impressing audiences with its evocative folk melodies and confident, expressive stage presence.
Images and videos capturing her performances, recorded by both colleagues and Lao spectators, have quickly spread across Facebook and TikTok, gaining millions of views and interactions.
Reflecting on the experience, she said she felt deeply moved to share Vietnamese music with Lao officers and citizens. “The warm, sincere atmosphere and the way everyone welcomed the performances made me feel the strong bond between our two peoples,” she noted.
Her standout appearance has become a highlight of the commemorative activities, helping to further strengthen the Viet Nam–Laos friendship.
She was runner-up of Sao Mai singing contest in 2022. In 2024, she released her folk-inspired music video “Tu than”, composed by Pham Viet Tuan and directed and produced by Vu Hong Thang. The production drew attention for its polished visuals and clear artistic concept, reaching number 4 on the iTunes Viet Nam chart and marking a promising milestone in her career.
