The An Binh islet is home to many ancient houses aged over 100 years old and assorted network of rivers and orchids. The islet also boasts typical culture features of the southern region.
These advantages bring about huge tourism potential and attract a large number of visitors to the area.
Therefore, ecological tourism in Long Ho district, including An Binh islet, has developed earlier than its neighbouring provinces and cites, with many homestays. To date, the islet is home to more than 20 homestays, including nine who have won the ASEAN Tourism Awards in the 2017-2019 and 2019-2021 periods, and 2023.
In 2023 in particular, a group of six homestays namely Ut Thuy, Sau Thanh, Nam Thanh, Ba Linh, Ngoc Phuong and Ngoc Sang in An Binh commune received the ASEAN Homestay Award.
The ceremony aims to honour local outstanding homestays while helping the homestays’ owners exchange experiences and improve their operations, thus contributing to developing tourism in Long Ho district and Vinh Long province in general.
