Attending the ceremony was Bui Quang Huy, Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
According to statistics from the Organising Committee, the contest received a total of 251 entries from 125 authors, including professional and amateur artists, students from fine arts institutions, and Youth Union members from across the country.
At the ceremony, the Special Prize went to Ly Anh Tuan from the Youth Union of the Viet Nam Rubber Industry Group, comprising a Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and 30 million VND.
In addition, the Organising Committee presented three A Prizes and six B Prizes to other outstanding works.
The Special Prize winner said that the logo design concept was based on a stylised rendering of the Roman numeral XIII. The lines and shapes evoke the structure of microchips, symbolising a generation of Vietnamese youth who are resilient, dynamic, and creative, mastering science and technology, and taking the lead in innovation, start-ups, and international integration.
Overall, the logo suggests the image of a soaring bird and an outstretched welcoming hand, affirming the pioneering and leading role of the Youth Union and the momentum and aspiration for sustainable development of young people in the new period.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Chairwoman of the Central Youth Team Council, stated that the announcement of the logo for the 13th National Youth Congress is an important starting point for widely spreading the spirit of the Congress to every Youth Union cell, every young person, and the wider public.
Building on the success of the Logo Design Contest for the 13th Youth Congress, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee has continued to launch a Poster Design Contest for the 13th National Congress.
Open to all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, the contest runs from now until April 15, aiming to further deepen the spirit of “Pioneering – Solidarity – Resilience – Breakthrough – Development” among Vietnamese youth in the nation’s revolutionary cause.
