1,773 higher education training programmes receive quality certifications

The whole country currently has 1,773 higher education training programmes that have been certified to meet quality standards, including 1,254 training programmes evaluated according to domestic standards and 519 programmes assessed according to foreign standards.

The Ministry of Education and Training says that Vietnam has seven domestic education quality accreditation centres and 10 foreign accreditation organisations, recognised by the ministry.

As of April 30, 2024, as many as 1,773 training programmes of higher education institutions were certified to meet quality standards.

Previously, as of January 31, 2024, the country had 1,147 higher education training programmes that were assessed to meet domestic education quality standards and 500 programmes were recognised to meet foreign quality standards.

According to Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Education Quality Management under the Ministry of Education and Training, much attention is paid to the assurance and certification of the quality of higher education. More Vietnamese higher education institutions recognised by foreign accreditation agencies demonstrate the efforts of these institutions, which are following the plan to ensure and improve the quality of higher education.
