The festival will offer visitors an opportunity to explore the culturally rich Mekong Delta region in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City through a series of artistic, culinary and entertainment programmes.
The festival will run day and night, featuring a full schedule of cultural, artistic and entertainment programmes.
Among them, the opening ceremony on the morning of May 31 will feature a choral performance blending folk music with contemporary influences to tell stories of the south-western region through a range of traditional and modern art forms.
The programme will combine modern and traditional music, creating an emotionally resonant performance that vividly evokes the cultural heritage of the riverine south.
The festival will also offer visitors experiences rooted in southern Vietnamese culture through traditional cuisine and fruit buffets, showcasing tropical produce from across the country.
Artistic performances, cultural exchanges, community events and international networking activities will be held throughout the festival, creating a lively programme across the summer months.
The organisers will also offer special admission incentives, including complimentary entrance for the first 2,000 adults and children wearing traditional costumes on May 31, as well as free admission for all children on International Children’s Day, June 1.
