‘April Sun’ exhibition displays latest creations of Da Nang-based artists

More than 40 artworks by members of the Da Nang City Fine Arts Association are being displayed at an exhibition which opened at Da Nang City Arts Museum on April 16.

The event, jointly held by the Da Nang City Fine Arts Association, the Da Nang City Advertisement Association, and collector Le Quang Khai, is among the activities in celebration of the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the National Reunification (1975-2024).

According to Than Trong Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang City Fine Arts Association, the exhibition provides an opportunity for the arts enthusiasts to enjoy the latest creations of 37 Da Nang-based painters and sculptors.

Through language of the arts, the works on display feature the land, people, and culture of Da Nang City, he said.

He also pledged that Da Nang City Fine Arts Association will host more activities and events to promote arts movements in the city and foster the creativity of local artists.

At the opening ceremony, the organising board presented certificates of merits to four artists under the age of 40 for their significant contributions to the arts development in Da Nang City in recent years.

The ‘April Sun’ exhibition will run until May 16 at Da Nang City Arts Museum, No. 78 Le Duan Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.
