The two projects comprise the Phu Cuong 1A and 1B wind power complex and the Soc Trang 4 wind power plant.

Of these, the 14.5 trillion VND Soc Trang 4 wind power plant project, invested in by Soc Trang 1 Energy Investment Joint Stock Company, has a designed capacity of 350 MW with 56 turbines. It is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.

Meanwhile, the Phu Cuong 1A and 1B wind power complex is being developed by REE Energy Limited Liability Company with capital exceeding 9 trillion VND.

According to Truong Canh Tuyen, Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, the construction of the two projects reflects the determination of the local Party committee, authorities, and people to realise their aspiration for rapid and sustainable development, and to ensure Can Tho fulfils its role as the driving centre of the Mekong Delta region.

He urged investors, contractors, and consulting units to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility, carry out construction diligently, mobilise maximum resources, apply modern technology, and guarantee quality, progress, safety, and efficiency.

He also requested that relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities swiftly address difficulties and obstacles, and create the most favourable conditions for the projects to be completed on schedule.
