The cultural initiative, jointly organised by the Danish Embassy in Viet Nam and the Viet Nam-Denmark Friendship Association, marks a celebration of 54 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Viet Nam, as well as the 12th anniversary of their comprehensive partnership.
The contest is open to all Vietnamese students from primary to secondary school, with entries accepted until December 20, 2025. Winners will be announced and honored at a ceremony scheduled for the end of the 2025–2026 school year in Ha Noi.
The contest’s theme, “Green Living,” encourages young Vietnamese students to express their visions for a sustainable future through art. By channelling creativity into climate awareness, the competition aims to amplify youth voices and inspire meaningful action toward environmental protection.
Danish Ambassador to Viet Nam Nicolai Prytz emphasised the importance of empowering the next generation. He noted that students have the potential to shape the future by conveying powerful ideas through simple yet evocative paintings.
“This competition is not just about painting; it’s an opportunity for children to imagine a better world and affirm that such a world is entirely achievable,” he said.
