The launching ceremony of the “Quang Trung Campaign” – a rapid campaign to build and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged or collapsed – was organised by the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee at Lam Tuyen 2 Hamlet, D’Ran Commune, one of the localities most severely affected by the recent floods.
At the ceremony, Deputy PM Mai Van Chinh, together with leaders of several ministries, sectors, central agencies, and Lam Dong Province, performed the groundbreaking ritual for building new houses and presented symbolic boards titled “New houses for families whose houses were completely destroyed by natural disasters” to four families in D’Ran Commune, including: Tran Van Phu, Nguyen Van Tho, Nguyen Cong Dinh, and Le Thi Thu Trang. These are the households that suffered the most severe damage in housings during the historic flood on November 19.
Presenting ten gifts to households severely affected by the recent floods in D’Ran Commune, Deputy PM Mai Van Chinh and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi visited and encouraged local people to overcome difficulties, soon stabilise their lives, and restore production.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasised that the Party Committee, authorities, and people, especially those whose houses were damaged, were deeply moved by the timely attention of Party and State leaders. In a very short time, the province received direct visits, sympathy, and support from many delegations from central to local authorities.
After the floods, Lam Dong Province has urgently taken action to overcome the consequences, especially building and repairing houses for affected residents to help them quickly have stable accommodation. Chairman Ho Van Muoi requested that departments, sectors, and construction units enhance their responsibility in ensuring construction progress and quality. At the same time, he also expressed hope that military and police forces would continue to support the rebuilding and repairing of houses for local people.
He affirmed that, with a rapid-response spirit and the attention of the Party and the State, Lam Dong aims to provide new houses for all families whose houses were completely destroyed before January 15, 2026, and complete repairs for households with damaged houses before December 20, 2025.
During the recent floods, 23 houses in Lam Dong Province were completely destroyed, washed away, or collapsed and must be rebuilt; 206 others were damaged and need repairs.
Implementing the “Quang Trung Campaign” launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters in the central provinces, Lam Dong Province has agreed to support 120 million VND per house completely destroyed and from 20 million to 40 million VND per house requiring repairs.
