This was the third cruise ship to call at Khanh Hoa since the beginning of the year, underscoring the growing appeal of the coastal city of Nha Trang on the international cruise tourism map. Immediately after completing entry procedures, thousands of visitors dispersed across the city to begin their exploration of a dynamic Nha Trang that still retains its rich cultural identity.
According to representatives of Phuong Thang Services, Tourism and Trading Co., Ltd. and Destination Asia Co., Ltd., the companies organising the reception, during their one-day stay visitors will tour well-known attractions such as Po Nagar Cham Towers, Long Son Pagoda and Dam Market, while also experiencing distinctive eco-cultural tours including visits to Truong Son Craft Village, cruises along the Cai River, and cycling through peaceful rural areas.
Later the same day, Diamond Princess is scheduled to depart Cam Ranh and continue its journey to Phu My Port.
The consecutive arrivals of international cruise ships are seen as a positive signal of the strong recovery of Nha Trang–Khanh Hoa’s maritime tourism. A representative of the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in the first half of January 2026 alone, the locality welcomed three international cruise ships, with more than 7,650 tourists disembarking for sightseeing.
According to schedules registered by cruise lines, Khanh Hoa is expected to receive an additional 38 international cruise ship calls in 2026. This figure not only reflects major cruise operators’ confidence in Khanh Hoa as a destination, but also raises expectations for a vibrant year for cruise tourism, making an important contribution to the overall growth of the local tourism sector.
