The exhibition showcases 140 artistic photographs, comprising 70 works by Vietnamese artists and 70 by Indonesian counterparts. Together, they reflect the natural beauty, traditional culture, landscapes, customs, and daily life of the peoples of both nations.
In her opening address, photographer Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Literary and Art Associations and President of VAPA, emphasised that photography serves as a cultural bridge, connecting the two peoples. Each exhibit captures a story or a moment that portrays the majestic natural scenery, distinctive cultural traditions, and everyday life of both countries.
“Through the lenses of Vietnamese and Indonesian artists, we not only admire familiar similarities but also deeply appreciate the bond, respect, and mutual understanding between the two nations,” Dong affirmed.
For her part, FPSI President Agatha Anne Bunanta praised the exhibition as a true “bridge” linking the two peoples through artistic creativity and the universal language of imagery.
She noted that each photograph not only holds aesthetic value, offering diverse perspectives on culture, nature, and humanity, but also embodies the emotional spirit of close cooperation between Viet Nam and Indonesia.
The exhibition forms part of the cultural and artistic activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Indonesia (1955–2025). It will run until December 25 at the Viet Nam Centre for Art Photography Archives and Exhibition, No. 3 Ton That Thuyet Street, Ha Noi.
