According to the Press Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent days, the number of visitors to Exhibition of National Achievements “80 Years—Journey of Independence–Freedom–Happiness” at the VEFAC have increased sharply, surpassing previous records.
From more than 230,000 visitors on the opening day (August 28), nearly 300,000 on August 29 and over 650,000 on August 30, the VEFAC welcomed around 800,000 visitors on August 31 and approximately 900,000 on September 2.
Notably, on the peak day (September 1), more than 1 million people visited and experienced activities as part of of the exhibition, bringing the cumulative total to nearly 4 million. This is an unprecedented record for any exhibition held in Viet Nam.
To facilitate visitors, the Organising Committee arranged 20 enhanced bus routes connecting to VEFAC; two free electric shuttle routes within the venue; 925 toilets indoors and outdoors; and dedicated areas for people with disabilities.
The food area has two outdoor zones at the North and West plazas (114 kiosks), four indoor zones at the foyers on the second, third, sixth, and seventh floors of the Kim Quy building, plus additional kiosks. There are also 12 information counters, a signage system throughout the venue, free information handbooks (including an online version), and Digimap for on-site positioning and navigation.
On average each day, around 100 events and experiential activities are held at the exhibition. Highlights include high-altitude fireworks displays (on August 28, September 2 and September 5), robot demonstrations, culinary showcases, hot-air balloon displays, artistic kite flying, demonstrations of traditional handicrafts, special art performances, seminars and discussions across various fields.
Due to strong public interest and the far-reaching impact of the exhibition, the Prime Minister issued Official Telegram No. 155/CĐ-TTg on September 2, 2025, to extend the exhibition to September 15, 2025.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to chair and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, localities, organisations and agencies to thoroughly review and prepare necessary conditions for organising exhibition activities and related events, ensuring equality, effectiveness, security, safety, and environmental hygiene. The directive also called for favourable conditions for people, organisations, and individuals to visit and experience the exhibition in accordance with the law.
