The event brings together more than 40 businesses and owners of cooperatives in Hanoi and 18 other cities and provinces across the country, such as Vinh Phuc, Quang Nam, Tuyen Quang, Kon Tum, and Binh Dinh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chief of the Office Nguyen Van Chi said that over the past years, Hanoi’s authorities have organised fairs and seminars to display OCOP products and local specialities to consumers.

He expressed his hope that the event, which is held in response to the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, will help participating businesses to boost consumption of the products and gain experiences on digital transformation, as well as solutions for adapting to market fluctuations.

According to Nguyen Manh Hong, Chairman of the Thach That District People’s Committee, the district now has 142 products qualified for the standards of the One Commune-One Product (OCOP) programme.

He said that the week-long fair will serve as a venue for businesses and households to boost trading activities and advertise their brands to visitors.
