Specifically, the feature film named “915”, produced by An Thai Phuong Joint Stock Company, was selected to be screened this time. It portrays the lives and struggles of youth volunteers of Company 915 during the resistance war against US imperialists.
The company was established in June 1972 with over 100 members, most of them young men and women from the Tay, Nung, and Dao ethnic minority groups in Bac Thai province, now Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces.
In the intense 12-day bombing campaign by the US imperialists against northern Vietnam, on the night of December 24, 1972, 60 youth volunteers from Company 915, Battalion 91 in Bac Thai laid down their lives. Their sacrifice has become a shining example of revolutionary heroism.
Other films include the documentaries "Lawyer Vu Trong Khanh" and "Mot Lan Song” (A Lifetime) produced by the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio One Member Company Limited, and the animated film "Hero of Tan Mountain" by the Vietnam Animation Studio Joint Stock Company.
