Film screening to celebrate August Revolution, National Day

Five Vietnamese films will be screened nationwide from August 18 to September 5, to celebrate the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) holidays.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Cinema Department to coordinate with film production and distribution units, to organise a film screening programme, as part of activities to mark the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) holidays.

The film series include the documentary film "Nhung Buoc Di Ngoai Giao va Mot Cuoc Chien Khong Mong Muon" (Diplomatic efforts and an unwanted war), which is the second part of the film "Ho Chi Minh in 1946", produced by Vietking Media Joint Stock Company; "Giao Su Ta Quang Buu - Nha Khoa Hoc Yeu Nuoc" (Professor Ta Quang Buu - Patriotic Scientist), produced by the Central Science and Documentary Film Studio; and "Nguoi Giu Hon Dat" (Land Spirit Keepers), produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company.

In addition, the series also includes the cartoons "Giac Mo Lam Me" (Dream of motherhood), produced by Vietnam Animation Studio Joint Stock Company and the film "Vuot Qua Duong Nuoc Den" (Crossing the black water line), produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company.

Funding for the film screening programme comes from the Film Department's 2023 film dissemination sponsorship fund.
