The Department of Cinema will coordinate with relevant units to organise a film screening programme nationwide in celebration of the success of the 14th National Party Congress and the 96th anniversary of the Party’s founding (February 3, 1930 –2026), according to a decision by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The programme contributes to communication and education on revolutionary traditions, patriotism and national pride, and helps inspire solidarity, self-reliance and the aspiration for national development among the People.

Through a selection of films of strong ideological and humanistic value and high artistic quality, the programme helps spread the positive values of Viet Nam’s revolutionary cinema, meeting people’s cultural and spiritual needs amid the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the Party and welcoming the 2026 Spring.

Within the programme, the opening ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm on February 3 at the National Cinema Center, 87 Lang Ha Street, Ha Noi. The film “Thanh Am Vuot Dai Duong” (Sounds Beyond the Ocean), produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I, will be selected for the opening screening.

The screening lineup at the National Cinema Center includes feature films “Thanh Am Vuot Dai Duong” (Sounds Beyond the Ocean), “Tu Chien Tren Khong” (Hijacked), “Dia Dao – Mat Troi Trong Bong Toi” (Tunnel: Sun in the Dark), “Chiec Chia Khoa Vang” (The Golden Key), “Mui Co Chay” (The Scent of Burning Grass), and “Thau Chin O Xiem” (Ho Chi Minh in Siam). The National Cinema Center will distribute invitation tickets for these screenings from 8:30 am on January 31.

In addition to free screenings for audiences at the National Cinema Center, the Department of Cinema will coordinate with provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and networks of Film Distribution and Screening Centers, Culture–Cinema Centers, and Culture–Arts Centers in provinces and centrally run cities to screen state-budget-funded films for the public nationwide — mainly through mobile cinema screenings — with a separate list of titles including feature films, documentary–science films and animated films.

The film screening programme will run nationwide from February 3 to 22.
