The exhibition showcases the works of 144 artists selected from more than 300 works submitted by members of the association as well as those outside the association.
According to sculptor Nguyen Xuan Tien, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, the exhibition is a meaningful event to promote the works of painters and sculptors and spread the love for arts through works about the city’s development over the past 50 years.
The works on display highlighted the city’s people and life today, along with the development of science-technology and transport infrastructure.
Through their works, the artists would like to extend their love for the city with wishes for further future development.
On the occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association presented one first prize, two second prizes, two third prizes and eight consolation prizes for the best works.
