At the working session with Regiment 143 under Division 315, Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and highly appreciated the task performance of the regiment’s officers and soldiers in recent times, notably their thorough grasp and serious implementation of resolutions and directives of the Ministry of National Defence on military and defence tasks; strict maintenance of combat readiness; and well-organised, comprehensive training programmes.

At the Central Cadet School, he commended the efforts of the school’s staff, teachers and employees, particularly their proactive approach to overcoming difficulties, gradually stabilising the organisation, building a standardised and disciplined environment, and improving the quality of education and training.

In the time ahead, in the context of complex developments in the global and regional situation, he requested the units to focus on improving training quality and combat readiness; effectively carry out political and ideological education; and uphold the noble qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new era.

Earlier, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Da Nang City Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Heroic Vietnamese Mother Monument (Quang Phu Ward, Da Nang City), expressing deep gratitude and respect for fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and the defence of the Fatherland.

On the same day, Nguyen Trong Nghia worked with the Military Region 5 High Command on the implementation of military and defence tasks in 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

He recognised and commended the achievements of the armed forces of Military Region 5, while requesting that in the coming time the region continue to thoroughly grasp the Party’s military and defence guidelines; focus on improving the quality of building a strong all-people national defence and solid defensive zones.
