Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made the statement on October 12 while hosting a meeting with outstanding Vietnamese entrepreneurs to mark the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13).
The fourth wave of COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected social life, production and business, the Government leader said, adding that under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State and the active participation of people, especially the business community, Vietnam has achieved many important achievements in socio-economic development and social security.
In particular, the epidemic has been controlled nationwide according to the criteria of the Ministry of Health, especially in epidemic hot spots such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An, he noted.

The Party and State always pay attention to and appreciate the role of entrepreneurs and the business community in the cause of national building and development, PM Chinh said, emphasising that the Government identifies enterprises as both the centre and the subject of development.
The PM also underscored that the Government will soon complete a socio-economic recovery and development programme. He also expressed his hope that entrepreneurs and the business community will continue to grow and actively contribute to the cause of national construction and defence.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pham Tan Cong along with businessmen and representatives of enterprises, cooperatives and business associations agreed that 2021 is a year of unprecedented difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In these difficult times, the Vietnamese business community has received great attention from leaders of the Party, State and Government.
The business community and entrepreneurs expressed their belief that the solutions proposed by the Government will be implemented in a drastic and effective manner.
