Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025 opens

On the evening of May 12, in Phu Ly City, the People’s Committee of Ha Nam Province held the opening ceremony of the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025.

The event features a series of activities, including the art programme; a high-altitude fireworks display; the 2025 World Triathlon Cup and the 2025 National Triathlon Championship; the 2025 Ha Nam Tourism Investment Promotion Conference; the Brilliant Summer street carnival; two thematic exhibitions about Ha Nam and its antiquities; a scientific conference on promoting the value of cultural heritage in the hometown of writer Nam Cao in association with sustainable tourism development; and a seminar on the model of developing rural tourism in connection with traditional craft village experiences in Ha Nam Province.

At the ceremony, Le Hai Binh, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented the official decisions recognising three national treasures and two national-level relics for Ha Nam Province.

The three national treasures include: the Vu Ban bronze drum, currently kept at the Ha Nam Provincial Museum; the six diamond statues of Doi Son Pagoda, currently preserved at Doi Son Pagoda in Tien Son Commune, Duy Tien Town; and the stone bell of Dieu Pagoda, currently preserved at Dieu Pagoda in Vu Ban Commune, Binh Luc District.

The two national-level relics are Hung Cong Communal House, located in Hung Cong Commune, Binh Luc District, and Quan Pho Communal House, located in Chuyen Ngoai Commune, Duy Tien Town.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ha Nam Province, emphasised that the 2025 Culture and Tourism Week and the art programme titled Radiant Ha Nam are significant events that contribute to promoting cultural identity while attracting tourists and investors to Ha Nam and publicising the province’s tourism message: “Ha Nam — A Leading Cultural Destination of the World.”

At the same time, the event aims to raise awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and the general public in preserving and promoting national cultural identity and natural resources for tourism development.

This is also an opportunity for Ha Nam to continue expanding tourism cooperation with neighbouring provinces; to provide travel companies with the chance to explore and develop new markets, and to design attractive tours and itineraries to introduce to visitors; and to draw investment interest in tourism development in the province.
