He stated that the city is working towards three goals, namely protecting public health, reviving the economy, and restoring people’s lives.

At the festival, Nen expressed his delight at local residents’ high sense of responsibility in the recent outbreak and their active support for those severely hit COVID-19.

He emphasised that the city had to make a great deal of efforts to have relatively peaceful days like today, adding that the outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City has been fundamentally put under control.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party chief extended his deep gratitude to the devotion of frontline workers and shared in the sorrow of families with members who died of COVID-19.

He said that the city is striving its best to revive economic growth and stabilise the people’s lives, emphasising that, under any circumstances, healthcare for the people will always come first.

Nen asked localities to take resolute actions to maintain the results achieved so far and make greater efforts in poverty reduction and care for the people.
