Recent consecutive floods have caused extensive damage in Hue city. The municipal authorities have mobilised all available resources and called for continued assistance from the Government and relevant ministries. The city also proposed 650 billion VND for emergency relocation of households in areas at high risk of landslides, 900 billion VND for the third phase of the northern breakwater at Chan May Port, and about 3 trillion VND for building major flood drainage channels, coastal dykes, and embankments.
