Industry and trade sector strengthens support for businesses in digital transformation in 2025

The Minister of Industry and Trade has just signed and issued Decision No.1970/QD-BCT on the Action Plan of the Ministry to implement Directive No.18/CT-TTg dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister on implementing tasks and solutions to promote domestic and foreign trade to boost trade activities in 2025.

In this decision, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien requested the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to preside over and coordinate with e-commerce floors and large domestic and international online business platforms to implement e-commerce connection programs, regional linkages in e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce to promote the consumption of products and goods in the online environment, focusing on supporting small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, craft villages, and local production establishments to access and expand online sales channels.

In addition, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also requested the Trade Promotion Department to preside over and coordinate with agencies and organizations to strengthen the implementation of diverse and effective promotion activities for import and export, including implementing large-scale, in-depth trade promotion programs for each industry in key markets such as the EU, the United States, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, ASEAN, etc.

The Import-Export Department, the Department of Foreign Market Development, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, depending on their scope of responsibility, will strengthen trade promotion activities, boost exports as well as develop the domestic market.
