At the inauguration ceremony, children participated in various activities to learn more about forest protection, water sources, and environmental issues.

According to Vu Gia Dan from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, similar information corners will soon be launched at national parks across the country, together with the installation of waste management and classification systems and the organisation of training course for volunteers on environmental protection.

The project was launched within the framework of the ‘Mizuiku – I love clean water’ programme, which was initiated by Japan’s Suntory Group in 2004, with the aim to raise awareness about water resource protection among future generations through educational activities in schools and outdoor forest learning experiences.

The programme was piloted in Vietnam in 2015. After ten years, it has organised many classes on the subject of water and festivals and funded a number of water filter systems and new toilets at schools, benefiting millions of students and teachers across the country.
