The first part of the epic included 2,700 sentences and was translated into Vietnamese by her father Dieu Kau, a late folk artisan who collected and translated many sets of epics of the ethnic people in the Central Highlands.
The epic, including 5,025 sentences and sung by the late artisan Dieu Kluk living in Dak N’Drung commune in Dak Song district, is one of the oldest and most voluminous set of the M’Nong ethnic people.
The story is about the fishing journey of a man named Tiang, his brother and other villagers in Nglau Lach Lake, the largest imagined by the ancient M’Nong people from the Central Highlands
The artisan Mai, the best epic singer in the Central Highlands, is also completing the unfinished M’Nong – Vietnamese encyclopedia by his father.
