The participants come from 20 countries and territories around the world, including Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Russia, China, the US, India, the UK, and Germany.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Nguyen Huu Duc, President of the Vietnam Magnetics Society, stressed that ISAMMA 2024 aims to provide an opportunity to advance and accelerate the research and application of magnetic materials for Vietnamese industry.

Those who attended the three-day event were updated on new studies regarding advanced and emerging magnetic materials, spin electronics, semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence for energy regeneration, and the application of nanomagnetic materials in healthcare.

The highlight of the symposium are two special lectures titled ‘Strategies for Developing the Semiconductor Industry’ and ‘Creating social value based on sci-tech innovation’ by Prof. Liesl Folks, Vice President for Semiconductor Strategy at the University of Arizona, and Prof. Kyung-Ho Shin, Vice President of the Rok’s Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, respectively.

ISAMMA was initiated by Prof. Minoru Takahashi of Japan’s Tohoku University in 1987. Vietnam joined the activities of the Executive Committee of the Asian Union of Magnetics Societies as an observer in 2012, became an alternate member in 2017, and then a full member in 2018.
