Meeting with the revolution contributors, Man stressed that the Party, the State and the Government have issued policies and laws on providing support and preferential treatment for revolution contributors. Most recently, on June 25, 2024, President To Lam signed a decision on giving gifts worth totally 420 billion VND (16.5 million USD) to more than 1.3 million revolution contributors.

According to him, currently, there are more than 9.2 million revolution contributors nationwide including nearly 1.2 million martyrs, nearly 500,000 relatives of martyrs; over 117,000 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and nearly 600,000 war invalids.

On this occasion, Man asked Can Tho city authorities to continue paying attention to revolution contributors and implementing policies to ensure their benefits, particularly the NA resolution on adjustment of pension, allowances and preferential allowances to revolution contributors from July 1.

The top legislator noted that it’s necessary to mobilise resources of the whole political system to take care of revolution contributors.
