The four-day festival attracted the participation of nearly 200 students from Vietnamese and foreign universities, colleges, and institutes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran Thu Ha, President of the Vietnamese Student Association in Ho Chi Minh City, stressed that the festival’s theme of “Igniting youth-led social impact: from local to global” underscores the pioneering role of youth and students in promoting positive changes for community development.

She called on the participants to contribute initiatives and creative solutions to enhance the responsibility and contribution of young people in addressing the pressing issues facing the world.

While welcoming the delegates, Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal People’s Committee, highlighted the crucial role of youth in all countries, particularly their pioneering role in creating roads towards sustainable development goals for communities.

She expressed her hope that the festival and forum will contribute to enhancing exchanges and connections, fostering mutual understanding between youths and students from various countries and territories with their peers in Vietnam, especially those in Ho Chi Minh City.

Participants at the festival will engaged in activities allowing local and international students to interact and experience diverse cultures, tours to cultural and historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City, arts events at the Phuong Nam theatre, and a visit to the municipal’s People's Committee headquarters, among others.
