Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has signed Decision No. 11/2026/QD-TTg (dated March 28, 2026) issuing the list of national databases (effective from May 19, 2026).
The decision defines 20 types of national databases, including: the National Integrated Database; the National Population Database; the Location Identification Database; the Electronic Identity Database; the National Immigration Database; the National Administrative Violations Database; the National Artificial Intelligence Database; the National Finance Database; the National Business Registration Database; the National Insurance Database; the National Land Database; the National Climate Change Database; the National Database on Officials and Civil Servants; the National Social Security Database; the Archival Documents Database of the State Records of Viet Nam; the National Administrative Procedures Database; the National Construction Activities Database; the National Health Database; the National Education and Training Database; and the National Asset and Income Control Database.
The deputy prime minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to organise the implementation of the decision, provide guidance, conduct inspections, and oversee its execution. The ministry will take the lead, in coordination with relevant agencies, in consolidating, reviewing and proposing amendments and supplements to the list for submission to the prime minister for approval.
Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and People’s Committees of provinces and cities are responsible for developing national databases within their respective mandates, ensuring alignment with the National Data Architecture Framework, the National Data Governance and Management Framework, and the Common Data Dictionary.
At the same time, they are required to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security in proposing updates, adjustments, and additions to the list of national databases, as well as to direct relevant units to comply with legal regulations on data throughout the process of developing national databases.
