A ceremony honouring the award winners was held in Hanoi on December 12 by the Steering Committee for Energy Saving, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.
Speaking at the event, Phuong Hoang Kim, Director of the Department of Energy Saving and Sustainable Development, said that the annual press award aims to popularise the national programme on economical and efficient use of energy in the 2019-2030 period.
He stressed that the enthusiastic participation of press agencies, journalists, and reporters demonstrated the great attention of the public and businesses in using energy economically and efficiently.
He hailed that the winning works detected energy-saving solutions in localities and businesses, contributing to raising the public’s awareness and responsibility in economical and efficient use of energy.
At the ceremony, the organising board presented 35 prizes to the best entries, from which stood out from nearly 370 submissions in four categories: printed newspaper, online newspaper, radio, and television.
