The event saw the presence of member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commisssion for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, and Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council.

The Vietnam National Brand Programme is a long-term, unique government trade promotion initiative that focuses on building and developing the national brand through product branding. Approved by the Prime Minister in 2003, it is overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with various ministries and agencies.

The National Brand Portal, created by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aims to raise public awareness about the importance of building, protecting, and developing brands in business, production, and investment. It promotes the Vietnam National Brand Programme and its products, helping to position Vietnam as a country known for high-quality goods and services, while boosting foreign trade and national competitiveness.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, noted that many Vietnamese brands, such as Viettel and Vinamilk, have achieved global recognition. However, building, developing, and protecting brands remains a challenge for domestic businesses. The National Brand Portal on Nhan Dan Newspaper, the central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam and one of six key multimedia agencies in the country, will provide comprehensive and transparent information on each enterprise and product, becoming a trusted resource both domestically and internationally.

The portal includes four main sections: Brand, Enterprise, News, and Multimedia. Readers can search and learn in detail about company brands, products across different sectors, and the years they were awarded the National Brand. The portal also features photo series, videos, and special coverage on the production and development processes of National Brand products.

Each enterprise with a National Brand product will have a dedicated page, designed in a modern and interactive format. These pages will include detailed company information, related news articles, press releases, and multimedia content such as photos, infographics, and videos.

“Following the launch of the Vietnamese-language portal, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will work on an English version. We look forward to the collaboration and support of agencies and businesses to continuously improve the portal, promoting Vietnamese brands, attracting investment, and enhancing national competitiveness as the country steps into a new era of growth,” said Le Quoc Minh.

At the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien emphasised that the Vietnam National Brand Programme, approved and directed by the Prime Minister in 2003, is a unique and long-term trade promotion initiative.

It promotes enterprises and products awarded the National Brand, while raising public awareness about the importance of brand development and protection. The portal also strengthens Vietnam’s image as a country known for high-quality goods and services in both domestic and international markets,” Minister Nguyen Hong Dien affirmed.
